First tastes. Your baby's food diary.

What did your baby try today? Did they enjoy it, and how was it served? SweetWonder keeps those little discoveries in a diary you can revisit, from the first purées to different textures and new flavours.

Record the food and how it was served

Add the food name, date and time, food group and texture: smooth, mashed, lumpy, finger food or family food. Include a note with anything you want to remember. You can edit or delete an entry if you made a mistake.

Note how it went

Record whether your baby liked the food, whether you are unsure, whether they were not interested or whether you noticed a possible reaction. Add your observations in a note to revisit or discuss with a clinician. The app does not identify the cause of symptoms.

Review foods tried and recorded allergens

The Foods tab summarises foods tried, new foods this week and food groups in your records. You can mark allergens for each meal. An introduced allergen with a possible reaction stays in the history, so that observation remains available when you review the diary.

Organise the day and explore guidance

The Diary tab groups meals by day; they also appear in your baby's main timeline. The Guidance tab offers general age-based information and seasonal suggestions. These are reference points, not an individual meal plan or quantities your baby must eat.

Questions about the weaning diary

When do babies usually start solids?

Usually around 6 months, depending on readiness. If your baby was born prematurely, discuss the timing with a healthcare professional.

NHS: your baby's first solid foods

Can I record both purées and finger foods?

Yes. Choose a texture for each entry to keep a history of different ways of serving food. Selecting a texture in the app does not certify that a food is safe for your particular child.

Does a recorded reaction mean an allergy?

No. A possible reaction is your observation, not a diagnosis. Keep details of the food and what happened, and seek medical advice if you are concerned.
